Ministry asks to give Lukoil, Yamal Shelf Co shelf field licenses
MOSCOW, Sep 14 (PRIME) -- Russia’s Natural Resources and Environment Ministry has asked the government to give oil company Lukoil a license to develop the Nadezhda field in the Baltic Sea and Yamal Shelf Company licenses for several fields in the Kara Sea, Minister Alexander Kozlov told reporters on Tuesday.
"The ministry has sent a package of documents to the government to give licenses to the Ust-Obsky 2-3-4 and the Baidaratsky fields, and the Nadezhda field," Kozlov said.
The Russian law limits access of private companies to shelf fields. Only state-run Rosneft and Gazprom have the right for these fields.
